On Friday 4 September Tom van der Zaal will celebrate the modern and energetic hard bop and bebop styles, deeply rooted in the American jazz tradition. ✨ About Tom van der Zaal The Hague-based, award-winning saxophonist and composer Tom van der Zaal is quickly establishing himself as one of the leading jazz artists in the Netherlands. His playing is virtuosic and expressive, with plenty of drive, swing, and soul. His musical influences include Charlie Parker, Jackie McLean, and Roy Hargrove. Having performed at renowned international venues, Van der Zaal brings passion, virtuosity, and storytelling to every note.
