Leading Q’s Quintet, she creates a sound world where East meets West, where folk traditions meet modern jazz, and where stories unfold through melody, rhythm, and silence. Her music cannot be neatly described—it must be felt, just as a life cannot be fully understood until it is truly heard. Q blends spoken word, poetry, painting, and improvisation into her compositions, drawing from her Chinese heritage and personal philosophies. Every piece carries a part of her voice, her values, her questions. Q’s Quintet—featuring flute and voice, saxophone, piano, bass, and drums—is not just a band, but a collective of storytellers. Together, they bring Q’s compositions to life, while allowing space for each musician’s own narrative to shine. Q believes music is not just sound, but a way to connect, to inspire, and to move.
