With passionate vocals and intense (slide) guitar work they convey the authentic revive the sound of the Primal Blues. To approximate this sound as closely as possible, they make largely using guitars, cigar box guitars and guitars built (or converted) by Gumbo himself primitive tube amplifiers. In addition, both have traveled to the southern US several times to explore the origins, traditions and culture of the original Blues styles there study and experience. Besides some traditionals, they play songs from, among others. Robert Johnson, Son House, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker and Jimmy Reed.
