Experience the golden era of 1930s Kansas City as the sensational tenor saxophonist David Lukács and double bass player Jos Machtel bring the irresistible swing of big band jazz to life, infused with the soulful energy of blues. Tonight they will be joined by the marvelous trumpeter Gary Kavanagh and Jack Kinsella on guitar. Count Basie is one of the most influential figures in jazz history - he was celebrated worldwide as a pianist, composer and bandleader who helped define the sound of the swing era. His legendary Count Basie Orchestra, founded in 1935, set the standard for rhythm, groove and elegance in jazz. One of his iconic tunes 'Swingin’ the Blues' captures everything Basie stood for: bold, bluesy, vibrant music with catchy riffs, driving rhythms and room for dazzling improvisation. ✨ Don’t miss this special evening!
