This project, led by saxophonist and composer Diego Cañada, embraces sound as a force that transcends boundaries, uniting souls in a shared emotional experience. Just as every vibration in nature carries meaning, Gestos channels the essence of diverse musical traditions—jazz, Indian classical music, flamenco, Western classical, and Afro-Cuban rhythms—into a universal language of connection. Through melody, rhythm, and movement, it seeks not just to be heard but to be felt, resonating with the listener’s inner world and evoking a profound sense of unity. Founded in 2024, the band has already recorded the first movement of an opera and is now expanding its vision by collaborating with dancers and choreographers, pushing artistic boundaries through a powerful fusion of sound and movement.
